Candles of Peace and Tribute Lightened by The Yuvaz

Mumbai was once again victim of terror this 13th of July 2011, when in the evening Zaveri Bazaar, Opera House and Dadar areas were hit by powerful explosions. Many lives taken, many more threatened.

To condemn this inhuman act and to pay tribute to the souls that have suffered due to the evil act, a social youth group from Udaipur, The Yuvaz held a candle march yesterday evening at Fatehsagar.

At around 5:30 in the evening, a fairly good crowd was present for the noble cause. Udaipur’s singing talent Shahnawaz aka Bunty (X-Factor fame) also joined the Candle March in the memory of victims of recent serial bomb blasts.

We pray for the peace of the departed souls, and wish for peace, harmony and happiness in the minds of the victims and threatened, and fear and terror in the minds of terrorists themselves.

Here are a Few more pictures of the Candle March:

Who doesn’t know about Shahnawaz of Deewana Group, who has already won hearts of lakhs of people all over India? Udaipur is proud to be the home town of such a talented singer.

Shahnawaz
Shahnawaz from Deewana Group in X-Factor India

Our very own Shahnawaz, popularly known as Bunty, visited Udaipur yesterday. He had visits to few schools and to the candle march at fatehsagar organized by The Yuvaz in the evening, to pay tribute to the victims of the recent blasts in Mumbai.

Then Bunty moved to Celebration Mall where his rocking live show was planned and well executed. He was welcomed by Ex-Mayor Mr. Yudhishtir Kumawat. Mr. Kumawat also sang the romantic number “Pal Pal Dil K Paas” and received a great applaud from the audience. The event was hosted by RJ Piyush Meghwal. Shahnawaz poured the magic of his enchanting voice in the air by singing many songs like “Zindagi Maut Na Ban Jaye”, “Vande-Mataram”, “Sabse Aage Hoge Hindustani”, etc. These songs added greatly to the glow of the event.

Then he introduced himself to the people of Lakecity telling about his relations with the city, and the support of his family, teachers and all near and dear ones, thanking the people without whom he wouldns have been at this platform, and expressing happiness of fulfilment of his desire to see his daughter. Lastly he requested the people to vote for his Deewana group and make them win the title of X-factor India. His voting id is XF 01 which is to be sent at 5252525.

A few glimpses of the rocking evening in the town are captured and presented here to you by Gaurav Bhattacharya and Yash Sharma

‘Helping Hands’ Organized Blood Donation Camp

Be a blood donor and serve humanity !! Believe me all it costs is a little love

Feels great when our kindness saves someone’s life. “Helping hands” – A group aiming for social welfare took the responsibility to initiate the social welfare activities which some or the other way inspire young minds to have a feeling of humanity and contributing towards the mankind.
When it comes to mankind and saving lives, nothing can be better than donating blood . With the vision of collecting maximum units of blood , Helping hands society has organized a blood donation camp on July 14, 2011 at Devendra Dham. Approximately 140 people from all over Udaipur participated and felt proud by donating blood.

We the UB team aims to spread this word of humanity amongst all the people in Udaipur by exploring and studying the needs of common man and contribute in this courageous act by increasing the number of participants in every camp. We experience very few taking this act seriously but the number of donators have definitely inspired the youth. Pacific institute of technology is a name frequently heard in the social events sponsored this great event and set an example for the youth of Udaipur , heaven on earth . People were seen contributing in as many ways like organizing , managing , advertising , assisting the crowd.

Pictures below portrays the efforts made by ‘Helping Hands’ Team in serving the cause .

Lets work in teams and come up with solutions, spread the word, inspire people !! Let us not limit it to a particular section or gender but being a human lets wake up the young minds and be strength of each other. Its easy to make money but really hard to make the difference , find the need and fulfill it. 🙂

RTU 2nd Semester students appeared for Re-examination

The joy of the last day of exams is a much thrilling experience, when finally the stress of the exams and long hours of studies are over, finally a breakpoint is achieved, and everybody has new plans for the forecoming vacations. But unfortunately due to some anti-social activities by few mischievous persons, the happiness came to an end.

The mathematics examination paper of RTU(Rajasthan Technical University) 2nd semester (B.Tech) was leaked the day before the original exam date, i-e 4th July. As a result, a re-examination for all 2nd semester students of the same subject was held today, the 12th of July.

The paper was comparable to the previous paper that leaked in terms of hardness, but since the students could get a longer span of time for preparations of the exams, hence they could attempt it well. We wish all these students all the very best for their results, and hope that they do not have to appear for another re-examination. and of course, Happy Vacations 🙂

Munishree Tarunsagar Ji Maharaj in Udaipur

Udaipur is very proud to have National Saint Munishree Tarunsagar ji Maharaj for his ‘Chaturmas’ (4 months of rainy season when Jain saints stay only at one place). Tarunsagar ji does not need any introduction. He is well known throughout the country for his ‘Kadve Pravachan’ or bitter preaching where he talks of social reforms that need to be introduced in the society. His preachings are like a medicine which is bitter in taste but ultimately relieves the person from every pain.

Followers of Jainism as well as other religions too have ultimate faith in him. This was seen in the grand welcoming of Tarunsagar ji at Thokar Chouraha yesterday. Many followers were present there just to have a glimpse of him. Some of them even washed his feet. He stayed at Shiv Park Colony, Durga Nursery Road.

Today, at 3:15 pm, he moved to Humad Bhawan at Teliwada in a huge rally with a great pomp and show. In his rally, there were 5 elephants, 11 horses, 11 chariots, 5 bands and many women carrying 1008 ‘kalasha’ on their heads. People showered petals on him all over the way.

He will be staying in Udaipur till Diwali and his ‘Kadve Pravachan’ will be held in B.N. College Ground from 7 August to 21 August. Hope all the Udaipurites get inspired by him and follow his preachings in life so that they can attain ‘Nirvana’ or ‘Salvation’ and get relieved of the sorrows of this world.

Here are a few glimpses from the huge procession.

The entire starcast of the upcoming bollywood movie, Zindagi Na milegi Dobara was here in Udaipur on 8 July, 2011 late night at about 10.00 p.m. They arrived from Ahmedabad in their black land rover, and stayed at hotel Shikarbadi for the night. But to add to the disappointment of all the udaipies, the starcast, consisting of Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar didn’t make any public appearance in our own Udaipur. The entire crew is currently travelling from Mumbai to Delhi all on road, and in this series, they headed for Jaipur this afternoon. There were a few unofficial predictions of them either visiting the celebration mall or the Fateh Sagar, but seems like the plans were changed, maybe due to the rain pouring in udaipur right from today morning.

Here are a few glimpses of our own stars in our own city by fans and official page of ZNMD 🙂
