Goverdhan Sagar Garden is very convenient for people living in Hiranmagri sectors. It is a pal which overlooks entire Goverdhan Sagar and Panna Dhai ship which is why it is named after it. It is usually less crowded and will give you the peace and calm while you match your feet with the rhythm of your heartbeat.

 

Vivek Park, Sector 3

Another option for Hiranmagri residents. You will find people working out and doing yoga here in the morning as well as in the evening. The park has a small lap that will help you maintain your speed all the while.

The distance of this trek would be somewhere around 150 m from Din Dayal Upadhyay Park. You can go back and forth if you want to work out a bit more. And the best thing about the trek is when you reach the top of the hill, the gorgeous panoramic view of the city will be worth every single drop of sweat of yours. Both stairs and a slope is available to climb up to the temple. On weekends, Poha and tea are served by the devotees at the temple. So, your workout and breakfast are completely sorted on weekends here.

Roads

Roads are the most convenient option if you do not have any ground or park around your home. But if you are opting to run on a road, make sure that you take all the safety measures for it. It is important that you choose a road which is less crowded and with less traffic. Because with vehicles moving all around the way, it doesn’t just become difficult to run but it becomes quite risky too. Also, run on the edges of the road and not the center and while you are running on a sharp turn decrease your speed a bit because you would not know what would be coming from the other end. If you are a resident near to the area, consider running here once instead of going to Fatehsagar or Rani Road daily. The long stretches of usually empty roads and a small valley will give your leg a proper workout overall. On your way, you can also see Maharana Pratap’s huge statue at Pratap Gaurav Kendra.

 

Pannadhai road, Sector 14

This road begins from right opposite to the Saras Parlour from where one can be able to reach Pannadhai Museum. It overlooks Goverdhan Sagar and meets with the main road near to Goverdhan Garden which can possibly be your next destination.

 

100 feet road, Sector 3

A road which has been constructed recently has a good amount of length and width pretty appropriate for your morning walk or run. But make sure you are pretty careful here as a number of small and large vehicles come here on a daily basis. It would be better if you choose this road in the morning time only and not the evening time.

Golden Park, Udaipur

Commonly referred to as ‘The City of Lakes’, it seems like Udaipur city has got a new name for itself ‘the city of gardens’. The city has got some lush green gardens that appeal to the aesthetic sense of any viewer and a recent addition to its list of beautiful Parks is the ‘Golden Park’. The newly formed park is a neighbor to popular tourist attractions like ‘Jungle Safari’ and the famous ‘Pratap Park’.

The park was inaugurated on 23rd December by Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria. The mesmerizing garden is located at Sisarama road on the banks of Lake Pichola and is home to scenic hills, meadows, playgrounds and herbal garden.
Built with a budget of Rs. 46 Lakhs, the Park is spread around 2 hectares said to be a discovery of Home Minister Mr Gulab Chand Kataria.

One amazing fact about the park is that during sunset as the sun rays fall on the park, everything turns into shimmery gold and gives an enticing view. The park has become favorite among the localities as it offers pleasing view complimented with an eco-friendly environment. The park has been made keeping in mind the interest of children and for this purpose wooden sculptures of different species of animals have been placed in the park to amaze the children and to further increase their knowledge.

Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of Maidens)

The Garden of Maidens, better known as Saheliyon ki Bari this is one of the major and large gardens in Udaipur. It is a famous tourist spot as well. Built by Rana Sangram Singh during 1710 to 1734, it has many beautiful fountains, a famous lotus pool, and marble elephants that define the royal architecture of that era. As per the legend, the king presented this garden to his queen. The queen with her 48 maidens used to come here for a walk and for having a leisure time.

Gulab Bagh (Sajjan Niwas Garden)

One of the largest gardens in Udaipur, Gulab Bagh spreads over 100 acres of land. It gets its name because of countless varieties of roses that it had. It was built by Maharana Sajjan Singh in 1850’s and hence it is also known as Sajjan Niwas Garden. It is a beautiful place away from the bustle of the city. The area is lush green and experiences cool temperatures. It previously had a zoo as well, which is not functional.

Rajiv Gandhi Park

An addition to the parks in Udaipur, Rajiv Gandhi Park. It was built in memory of Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi; this garden was inaugurated on 8th may 2008. It is situated overlooking Fatehsagar Lake, near the end of Rani Road. It is a well-maintained garden with children’s park and a food court. There is a nominal entrance fee for this park.

Nehru Garden

This beautiful island park, located in the middle of Fatehsagar Lake was inaugurated in 1967. This oval-shaped island covers an area of 41 acres and has a beautiful garden with a lily pond along with pyramid shaped water fountain which resembles Brindavan Garden of Mysore. The garden is accessible through a boat ride only.

Sajjangarh Biological Park

Opened in the year 2015, this zoological park is developed over an area of 36 hectares, with a budget of 21.70 Crore rupees. Guru Gobind Singh Park

When you drive uphill to Karni Mata stairs, the Doodh Talai Garden starts. The garden was once a beautiful one and held various school picnics; was also a spot for family outings as well. There are various slides and swings for kids. The garden is huge and has various fountains in the course of the lush green pathways. Not just this, you can spot a large variety of flora there. Neatly manicured gardens are its beauty spot and attract a lot of people.

Pratap Park

The latest addition to the list of parks in Udaipur is the Pratap Park, inaugurated in February 2017. It is located on the southern boundaries of Lake Pichola. The Pratap Park has become a new favorite spot for the youth of Udaipur and has a huge sculpture reading “I LOVE UDAIPUR” which is the main attraction of the park. Also, it has an open gymnasium.

Sanjay Garden

It was built in the memory of late politician Sanjay Gandhi. The park is a spot of amusement for the local people living in that area. It gives an amazing view of the Lake Fatehsagar and you can spot some birds and ducks from the back side of this park as well.  It had a fountain in the middle of the park which is non-functional right now.

Moti Magri

Moti Magri is located atop a hill near the Lake Fatehsagar and was constructed in the memory of Maharana Pratap. A bronze statue of Maharana Pratap and his horse Chetak is erected in the middle of the garden. The road to the main garden crosses several other small gardens built in the memory of various warriors and Rajput kings. It is a beautiful garden and has a nominal entry ticket to it.

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Park (Musical Fountain Garden)

Ideal for a family outing, the musical fountain garden was inaugurated in the year 2004. The place is quite peaceful and you can spend a lot of quality time with nature here. The gardens are well-manicured and a lot of people drop by this place to spend a nice evening, watching the sunset.

Vibhuti Park

Located at the hot-spot of Udaipur city, the Fatehsagar Paal is the Vibhuti Park.  Studded with lots of fountains, grass, and trees, this park is an ideal place for diving into nature. There is no entry ticket to this place, it was inaugurated in the year 2014. Not many people are aware of this place is often found bare or uninhabited.

Wolkem Garden

One of the gardens in Udaipur is the Wolkem Garden which has gardens constructed in steps. The park is huge and has many amusement and recreational activities for the kids. The garden also has a lot of fountains and well-maintained lawns. The place is an ideal location for hosting school picnics and family outings.
