The Main source of water in Fatehsagar i.e the Madar Lake (Chhota) finally overflowed this morning bringing smile on the thirsty faces of Udaipies. As the water continues to come from Madar Lake (Bada) and Swaroop Sagar Link Channel the level of Fatehsagar has now reached near to 8 Ft 🙂
The level of Madar Lake (bada) has now reached 21 feet.
These places are great to enjoy your weekend for a Picnic Spot
We expect to see the magnificent view of the overflow at Fatehsagar in coming a week or two weeks.
The gates of our very own Swaroop Sagar is now open. 🙂
Nah nah Don’t be so Happy !! Hold your excitement guys for some more time as it is just a cleaning process by Irrigation Department preparing themselves to release the water to Lake FatehSagar. 😛
After the rains in the city and the suburbs we wish to see these marvelous beauty once again with the clear water flowing very soon.

The ‘very’ excitement of water coming into Lake fatehsagar finally gets completed after a wait of a Month of Low Monsoon 🙂
After a heavy rain during the day time in various part of the city the gates of madar were finally opened to allow the inflow of water into lake fatehsagar 🙂 Udaipies gathered at at the Dewali Chhor of Fatehsagar to see the exclusive influx of water into our FS 🙂 We hope it overflows soon and the monsoon persist for a much longer time as it cheated us this year with delay 😛

The Dahi Handi event at jagdish chowk has become a prolonged custom; the janmashtami celebration is accompanied with colorful cultural activities where many localities and foreign tourists take active participation. These activities include cultural dance, singing performances which ends with the Dadhika Matki Phod. The special attaraction here at the jagdish chowk is the performances by the tourists across the globe who sing and perform on Rajasthani Songs.
The Event was organized by : Dharmotsav Samiti
This year there were more than 5000 Devotees, Anna Hazare was among the hot topic of people’s interest. They cheered the spirit of Anna with the Slogans like “Anna Tum Sangarsh Karo, Hum Tumhare Saath Hei” 😀
The Chief guests of the Event were The Royal Price of Mewar – Huzoor Lakshyaraj Singh ji Mewar, Rahul Agarwal (Director, Pacific University who awarded Rs. 15,000 to the winner of Dahi Handi Competition), Harish Rajani (Sunrise Group of Institutions), Prashant Agarwal (Narayan Seva Sansthan), Beena Verdia (Mother – Late. Lt. Archit Verdia).
Fame of X-Factor “Deewana Group” Mr. Shahnawaz Khan (Udaipur ke ‘Bunty Bhaiya’) and Mr. Asif Khan who performed on various songs like ‘Zindagi Maut na ban jaye Sambhalo Yaaron’ with a special message – “Chand Sikko k liye tum na karo kaam bura, har burayi ka sada hota hai anjaam bura”, Vande Maatram (‘Apne Bunty Bhaiya ka trademark Song’ 😛 Sings it every year!!) and many patriotic songs to cheer Govidaas present there.
Janmashtmi Celebration at Sector 11 machla magra Udaipur at Triyambakeshar Mahadev Temple included Amazing Shringar and beautiful tableau(jhanki) of Lord Krishna; Bhajan mandli continued till midnight and celebrated Birthday of Lord Krishna.

Udaipies enjoyed today’s rain; But simultaneously faced many problems, water logs on roads converted roads into flowing river. Power Cuts in Udaipur, disrupted lifestyle of people.

Yesterday Devotees witnessed Lord Jagannath on a Rath Yatra Event. The Rath Yatra event is carried out every year with thousands of devotees waiting to take a glimpse and blessing of Lord Jagannath. Happy Monsoon Udaipies !! Light and Steady rains for the past 15 hours has eased the Summer heat, the rain started at about 12 last night and from then on its been truly majestic. Chocked roads and batti gul could not stop us from enjoying the fine weather, rain started with Hiran Magri and Savina and then till the time it reached the other end of the city the whole of Udaipur was dripping.
This is the Third Rain and a Beginning to Monsoon. The weather forecast department had suggested that early monsoon would arrive in south Rajasthan by today and that Heavy Rains are expected in the next 48 hours.
With enthusiasm and utter excitement we hope that this time the monsoon comes in handy and leaves behind a brimming Fateh Sagar. So guys enjoy the rain with pakodas and jalebis and have a blast this monsoon ..!!

Finally the much awaited sports bike for youngsters, the CBR 250R by the automobile giant, Honda, was officially launched yesterday, 19th June 2011, in a grand event at the new happening and promising place of Udaipur, The Celebration Mall.
In the event, there were performances by the Sparkle group, and the entire event was hosted by the very popular RJ Ankit Mathur. During the event, Mr. Sandeep Rana, Sales In-charge (Rajasthan area), Honda motorcycle and scooters Pvt. Ltd. unveiled the new devil, and handed over the keys of the bike to Mr. Loveneet Bhati.
On behalf of Lakecity Honda, Mr. Sheel Mohan Sharma, and the entire team was present in the launch event. He informed that the bike will be available in two different models and 3 attractive and sporty colours. The main attraction of the bike will be its sporty and unique design, provision of Anti Lock Braking System or the ABS, Liquid Cooled PGM-Fi fuel injected 250cc engine, broad tubeless tyres, comfortable seating position, and many more features. This new sporty attraction on roads of Udaipur is available via bookings.
