The preparations for the annual Diwali-Dushhera Mela by Udaipur Municipal Corporation are all done. The fair is scheduled to begin from 25th October and will continue till 3rd November, 2013.
As per Ms.Rajni Dangi (Mayor, Udaipur) the inauguration ceremony is planned to begin at 6:30 pm by Mewar Maha Mandaleshwar, Raasbihari Sharan Ji following which the fair shall showcase performances by the local artists. Ms.Hemlata Sharma (Fair Co-ordinator, UMC) further added that the series of these cultural events will conclude on 31st October. However, the fair will continue till 3rd November 2013.

The schedule for the 10 day fair is as follows :
25th October 2013 – Performances by Local Artists
26th October 2013 – Performances by Local Artists
27th October 2013 – Kavi Sammelan featuring Shyaam Parashar, Hari Om Panwar, Jagdish Solanki, Kesar Dave Prajapat, Jhonny Vairagi and Prakash Nagori.
28th October 2013 – Singer Night featuring Mauli Dave and Group.
29th October 2013 – Rajasthani Night
30th October 2013 – Punjabi Night featuring Channi Mastana and Nidhi Kohli.
31st October 2013 – Bollywood Night featuring Shakti Mohan and Dance Group from Delhi.
