CBSE announces Class 10, 12 Board Exam Dates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday said it will conduct the remaining exams of class 10 and 12 between July 1 and 15. However, the minister also clarified that no examination will be held for class X students nationwide, except for students from North-East Delhi.

The board suspended the exams midway following the COVID-19 outbreak in India and the subsequent nationwide lockdown.

Union HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal in a video message announced the development and said this will give plenty of time to students to prepare for the board exams.

CBSE will issue a detailed bulletin separately on the exact dates.

The COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent nationwide lockdown have disrupted the academic calendar. The concerned authorities are now gradually announcing dates for the pending examinations.

In the same line, Rajasthan Cheif Minister, Ashok Gehlot informed through his twitter handle that the remaining exams of RBSE for Class X and XII stand postponed for the time being.

The minister also said that there has still not been any decision on Board Exams in the state yet. These exams were cancelled on March 20 before the lockdown. Higher and technical education exam will also be conducted after conditions become normal.

The English medium schools in the state are guided to hold the online admission process. The same is being considered for Hindi medium schools too.

There has not been any confirmation regarding the pending board exams yet in the state. Both classes 10th and 12th students are eagerly waiting for it. The students must keep a check on the official notice of the Government regarding Board Exam dates.

Further, the CM also tweeted that if a parent is unable to deposit fees due to financial condition prevailing due to the lockdown, then private schools should not cut the name of such student. If a school does so, the state government can revoke its recognition.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday held a video conference with the board official and discussed every aspect of conducting the remaining board exam. He took the view of technical, higher education, secondary education and RBSE officials.

There are about 20 lakh students registered this year for RBSE board exam.
