NCERT (National Council of Education Research and Training) had earlier published the calendar for the rest of the classes.
The calendar has week-wise plan consisting of activities with reference to theme/chapter taken from syllabus or textbook. It maps themes with the learning outcomes.
The purpose of mapping is to facilitate teachers and parents to assess the progress in the learning of children and also to go beyond textbooks.
All the subjects will be released in the calendar through week-wise plans. The HRD Ministry aims to ensure that students across the country have quality and standardised education content even during the lockdown.
The calendar at upper primary stage (classes 6 to 8) was released for four weeks earlier. Now the calendar for the next eight weeks at an upper primary stage has been released. It consists of the week-wise plan including activities with reference to theme/chapter taken from syllabus or textbook.
