The private schools in Rajasthan will not charge any dues or advance fee for three months including April to June from the students during the lockdown. Rajasthan CM, Ashok Gehlot also instructed the schools to promote the students of all classes, except X and XII.
In a video conference meeting held on Thursday, Rajasthan CM said that on account of non-payment of fee, the schools cannot strike off the name of any student from the school rolls.
The CM said that the students will be promoted to the next grade on the basis of the assessments and periodic tests conducted so far. The schools and colleges will have to make arrangements for online classes and e-learning to ensure continuity of studies.
The video conferencing meeting was held to review the situation in educational institutions during the lockdown. It was also decided during the meeting that the colleges and technical institutes can announce summer vacations from April 15 2020. However, there would no vacations in schools.
Bhanwar Singh Bhati, the Higher Education Minister informed that the ministry has formed a five-member committee to decide the schedule for the exam of the universities.
A YouTube Channel has been introduced to provide e-content to the college students while the mid-semester exam in technical universities have been conducted online.
